Road Rage Shooting in Rogers County

On 10-08-2011 Rogers County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from dispatch for a possible road rage that took place on Hwy. 412 and Turner Turnpike.

Deputies arrived at Bruce’s truck stop and met the RP. RP said he was on his way back to New Jersey with a load on his Semi.  RP said he was in the left lane and turned on his turn signal to change lanes so he could get on the turn pike. Cherokee Nation Registration to visit Rogers County

CLAREMORE, Okla. — The Cherokee Nation is offering assistance with applications to obtain Cherokee Nation citizenship and Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood cards on Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Indian Health Service Hospital in Claremore, 101 S. Moore Ave. Representatives from the tribe’s Registration Department will be on hand to help with questions about the application process.

Christmas at the Belvidere Mansion

The Belvidere Mansion will be hosting their annual Christmas at the Belvidere November 8- December 17, Tuesdays through Saturdays 10 am-3 pm. Rogers State Basketball

Rogers State University men’s and women’s basketball swings into full gear on November 1st. The men’s first home game will be November 3 against Dallas Christian College. Shepherd's Cross Pumpkin Festival


Shepherd’s Cross will be hosting their Annual Pumpkin Festival through October 29 every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 am to 6:30 pm. There are many different activities for children including scarecrow making, hay rides, maze, story time, fall games, and a farm animal petting barn. The Shepherd’s Shop will be open with lots of fall goodies for sale including pumpkins, gourds, straw, cornstalks, and decorative fall items.

Fall Old Home Tour fundraiser

The Rogers County Historical Society is a non-profit organization of community volunteers dedicated to preserving the heritage and landmarks of Rogers County, including Claremore, Verdigris, Oologah, Foyil, Inola and Chelsea.

RSU Begins Athletic Facility Improvements

Claremore, Okla. – Construction is underway on more than $4 million in athletic facility improvements at Rogers State University.

Annual Memorial Service honors patients and their families

Hospice of Green Country will hold its annual memorial service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 9th, at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 9472 E Highway 20, in Claremore.      The service, which is free and open to the public, honors previous Hospice of Green Country patients from Claremore and surrounding areas from July 2010 to July 2011, as well as celebrates their families and memories. Rogers County Cattle Killers



ROGERS COUNTY - On Sunday, September 25, 2011 at approximately 18:50 hours, Rogers County Sheriff's Office was advised by RP that two cows had been killed and gutted.



The RP advised he was able to find two gut piles but he still has one cow that he could not find.



The last time the property owner saw the cattle  was Friday, September 23, 2011 at approximately 18:30 hours.
