What am I reading now???
I have just finished all three volumes of The Hunger Games and the first volume of The Maze Runner. I am currently in the middle of The Inner Circle which is not moving as quickly as I hoped it would, but is all and all a decent little read.
The Hunger Games was awesome and I highly recommend them as the movie will be out in March 2012.
The Maze runner was along the same lines as The Hunger Games, but more like "The Lord of the Flies" meets The Amazing Race meets The Knowing and the Book of Revelations...kinda wierd...but I'm going to pickup the second volumn today...the name of the second book escapes me?!? Anyway, that's the round up of the past 10 days or so...

What is he Hunger Games about? I just got them from my sis, but haven't read them yet.
I am currently reading The Surgeon, which is one of the books the show Rizzoli & Isles was based on.

Sounds like the short story I always used to teach my college freshman, Shirley Jackson's The Lottery.

I don't know if they teach Jackson in high school or not. I think I didn't encounter it in class until college though. So many books and movies have been based off her idea.
